Cape Air Check In: How to do it the right way
Before your Cape Air Flights, you’ll want to Check in Cape Air, if you haven’t already done so. Checking in before your flight will save you time at the airport and let you enjoy more of your vacation without worrying about missing your flight or waiting in long lines at the counter. Fly Cape Air offers several options when it comes to checking in and checking bags, but they all have different advantages and disadvantages and some are better than others based on the length of your trip and how much you’re bringing with you.
Step 1. Secure a seat
Cape Flying recommends passengers arrive at least one hour prior to departure for domestic flights, and two hours for international flights. Seats are not guaranteed if you Cape Air Check in after your flight's deadline. For most Cape Air flights, online check-in is available 24 hours before departure. You'll need a valid credit card number in order to complete online Check-in Cape Air and book your seat on a Cape Air Flights (though, if you have frequent flier miles with another airline, you can transfer them into Cape Rewards points). If there are no seats available at that time or you don't want to use an online form, call Cape Air Phone Number directly at 1-800-CAPE AIR (+1-888-801-0869) within 24 hours of your scheduled departure time.
Step 2. Print your Cape Air Boarding Pass
If you want to speed up your Checkin Cape Air process, then you’ll need a printout of your Cape Air Boarding Pass. For domestic flights, simply go online and look up your flight’s itinerary. Look for an icon next to your Cape Air Flight Reservations Number that looks like an image of a piece of paper with lines across it. Click on that and print out all of your information; bring that along with you as you head over to airport security and make sure you have all your paperwork in order for easy Check-in Cape Air. You should also get in touch with Fly Cape Air ahead of time if you plan on checking any Cape Air Luggage or have special requests for any passengers on board. All those details can be worked out beforehand so everything goes smoothly once you get there!
Step 3. Print your Cape Air Baggage claim check
When you arrive at your destination, head directly to a Cape Planes counter and wait in line. Do not stop at a ticket agent’s stand first. For security reasons, you can only get a Cape Air Boarding pass from a Cape Air agent or gate personnel. Step 4. Scan your baggage claim check once inside the terminal and proceed directly to an available agent, or ask for assistance if you don’t see one around. Be sure you present proper identification when checking in; most airlines will require it in order for them to issue a Cape Air Boarding Pass, so bring along your driver’s license or passport—anything that says who you are and where you live (not social security cards). Step 5. Have your luggage weighed before heading to the Cape Air Flights desk. You’ll be asked to place each bag on a scale, then you’ll receive a weight slip. Your bags must weigh less than 50 pounds each (100 pounds total) for Cape Air flights.
If they exceed that limit, find out what options are available and make arrangements with another airline. Step 6. Tell Cape Air agents exactly where you want to go and how many people will be traveling with you. This is called origin-destination information. If there's any confusion about how many people will be flying with you, speak up now—it could save headaches later on down the road! Step 7. Pay for your Cape Cod Flight. Cape Air accepts cash, traveler’s checks, Visa and MasterCard credit cards as well as American Express credit cards. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% service fee per passenger per segment of travel paid by credit card. The maximum amount of fees charged per passenger per segment of travel paid by credit card is $25.00 USD per person/per flight segment.
Step 4. Go through security
Before you fly, remember that Cape cod flights is a small regional airline, which means security checks are tighter than at larger carriers. If you're carrying a laptop or other electronic device with you on your flight and want to keep it with you at all times, pack it in your carry-on bag. Put all of your electronics in bins separately and take them out only when instructed by security personnel. Put all bags back into their original bins before they're X-rayed; misplacing them can cause delays. And keep any liquids or gels (excluding baby formula) in three-ounce or smaller containers inside your quart-size zip-top clear plastic baggies.
Step 5. Take off your shoes, laptop, and jacket (optional)
While Cape Air doesn’t require you to take off your shoes, you are required to remove all electronics from your pockets and put them in bins before going through security. That includes laptops, jackets, belts, and so on. If you plan on storing any liquids in a bin or taking something like a laptop out of its case, wait until after you’ve gone through security (Step 7). You might save yourself some time if you take off your jacket and keep your laptop bag/backpack unzipped or folded open so that screeners can easily access everything.
Step 6. Enjoy your Cape Air Book a Flight
The good news is you’ve checked in, and no matter how you Check in Cape Air or with which airline, you won’t be facing any charges. The bad news is many airlines require online Check-in Cape Air before a certain time prior to departure. Although Fly Cape Air doesn’t have an online check-in requirement, if you arrive at your airport without checking in online or over the phone with Cape Air within 24 hours of departure, it may cost $100 to change your Cape Air Reservations. Whether traveling with Cape Air or another airline, here are a few other tips that will help ensure smooth sailing from start to finish.
